The ASEAN-EU Youth Farmers Forum, a farmer-to-farmer learning exchange on Food Crop Production and Value Chain was held in Jakarta, Indonesia in October 2017. It was attended by 25 young people from ASEAN and EU who worked in agricultural production and agribusiness. The event was organised to also commemorate the 40th Anniversary of ASEAN-EU Dialogue Relations. 

The Country Permanent Representative Thailand to ASEAN, EU Mission to ASEAN and IFAD provided the opening remarks emphasizing on promoting agriculture to young people and to make agriculture and agribusiness "great again". The event was fully supported by the EU Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, the ASEAN Technical Working Group on Agricultural Research and Development (ATWGARD), ASEAN Secretariat, and young social entrepreneurship.
