The attached report provides an overview of the workshop proceedings and outcomes about the ASEAN Guidelines for Responsible Investment in Food, Agriculture and Forestry (RAI). The RAI Guidelines provide consolidated best practices on what constitutes responsible investing, with the intention that they will become the foundational approach to larger scale investments in ASEAN. In July, Grow Asia worked with IISD, UN FAO, and the ASEAN Secretariat to host the Workshop on Operationalizing the Action Plan which was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 30 to 31 July 2019. The workshop aimed to raise awareness, identify priority areas, and seek buy-in to the ASEAN Action Plan to operationalize the RAI Guidelines in the region. The workshop resulted in a series of insights that will add value to next steps among stakeholders and partners.
